Why should I hire a planner / coordinator if I have it all figured out?
You're asking the right girl! And yes, maybe I am a little biased because I want to be there for your day but, as a former bride who figured it all out and didn't hire one, I wish I did. There are SO many benefits (aside from the planning assistance and reassurance) that allow to you be fully hands-off the responsibilities on your big day. That means you can be present and spoiled and enjoy every moment you worked so hard for.
04.
What is your work style?
Not what you see in the movies! That's because in a movie about a wedding planner / coordinator , they are the main character. On your big day; YOU are. I will be calm, collected, and honest but the goal is for you and your guests to not even notice me pulling the strings. I will be truthful every step of the way and let you know if an idea you have won't work. I don't want anyone let down on their big day so this helps to keep realistic expectations. (Sorry August brides, your ice castle display PROBABLY won't hold up through your entire night. )

Why do I need a day of coordinator if my venue has one?
Please keep in mind venue coordinators and day of coordinators have very different roles. Your venue coordinators first priority is their venue and staff. They may oversee the kitchen service or the grounds but they do not deal in handling the outside vendors, payments, your guests or you. (They may because they are nice people but it is not in their responsibilities.) We are here to help fill in all the other gaps where you need oversight and can't be everywhere at once!
06.
How did you get into this role?
Let's start with this: Most planners / coordinators get into the industry because they loved their wedding, that wasn't me. I actually got into this because I did NOT enjoy my wedding. I hired some people without enough research, I trusted the influencers and verified purchasers (who get paid when you pay) and didn't ask all the right questions; but that's okay because I learned the hard way so you don't have to!
I was so focused on coordinating my day I forgot to eat, didn't even get to try my amazing cake, the DJ almost left early (WHAT?!) and I truly don't even remember how I felt in my dress. There are so many things that go into making the right selections, perfecting timelines, remembering to notice the little things on the day of. You get sidetracked as the bride / host focusing on enjoying yourself, which is the RIGHT thing to do, that you really can't do everything else too.
I'm here to make sure your day will always and forever be a moment of happiness and bliss, and not regret over the logistics.
